Cohort reach limits

What is a cohort reach limit?

A cohort reach limit lets you control how many targets you reach within each specific group, or cohort, in your campaign. Setting these limits allows you to prioritize your audience reach effectively to maximize the impact of your marketing efforts.

Why use cohort reach limits?

Using cohort reach limits ensures that your highest-priority audiences get the proper attention.

Example: Suppose you have three cohorts — Healthcare, Finance, and Manufacturing. You want to prioritize Healthcare to optimize your ad spend, so you set the following reach limits:

  • Healthcare cohort: 500 targets
  • Finance cohort: 250 targets
  • Manufacturing cohort: 250 targets

You can also adjust your limits as needed to keep your targeting flexible and effective.

Benefits of using cohort reach limits

  • Focused targeting: Ensure your top cohorts get the attention they need.
  • Flexible adjustments: Easily adjust limits as needed to meet your reach goals.

How do cohort reach limits define which targets will and will not see my ads?

Influ2 uses its ML-driven algorithm to determine the reach probability for each target. It then decides who should be actively targeted and who not. This ensures you get the best results in the shortest possible time.

If a target is included in multiple cohorts, are they counted in the reach limit of each?

Yes, Influ2 counts the reach limit separately for each cohort. This allows you to include targets in multiple cohorts while keeping your cohort budgets and results-tracking separate.

Example: A target, Marty Smith, is reached in the Spring Sale cohort. You also add him to a new Spring Campaign cohort. He will be counted separately toward the reach limit of the Spring Campaign until he is marked as reached.

How often are cohort reach limits refreshed?

Influ2 calculates the reach limit each month based on your subscription and start date. Once per month, your reach limit is reset so you can add or adjust based on your cohorts and unique needs.

What happens if I add new targets to a cohort that is already at its reach limit?

Influ2 calculates reach based on the active audience. Once your cohort hits its reach limit, any newly-added targets won’t see your ads until:

What happens if I add new targets to a cohort that has already reached its limit?

1) The limit is refreshed for the month, or

2) Active targets are deactivated, freeing space for new ones

This approach ensures you have the flexibility to include the right targets and maximize your reach limit.
